2.
This project focuses on the power of newspapers. It is apparent that over the years several popular newspapers have gained their status through their portrayal of political views, whether they are left wing or right wing. These opinions all form under the influence of media owners and how their political viewpoints can often manipulate stories which either draws our attention or diverts it from the undermining societal issues in question.
This stage in particular focuses on the different forms of language used by the newspapers. Their political viewpoints on a vast amount of stories are evident solely through the language used. The language is also powerful in showing how well the media can exploit the consumers into thinking a certain way about a story. The images in this stage highlight the desperation for justice in the headlines about the Afghanistan and Palestine movement.
